Ben Big is by far the most recognizable symbol of London, but few people know that "Big Ben" is the name of the clock's largest bell instead of the tower itself, which is officially known as The Clock Tower. Tours are only available to UK residents that have made official requests, but viewing from the outside is available to anyone. The Westminster Underground station is right across the street.
